2011 is here and with each new year comes a time for resolutions and reflections. 2010 was quite eventful, though maybe not as productive house-wise as I'd like. I did manage to make a few changes:
2009:
2010:

2009:
But this coming year I'm looking to finish up the major changes that Lee and I have been putting off. These 3 goals will be the last major changes we make for now:
1. Put up beadboard and wallpaper in the guest bath.
2. Finish kitchen makeover (painted white cabinets, freshly painted walls, new backsplash)

I think I'm going to use the fabric shown above for the living room window treatments, but am always up for suggestions. Any fabric recommendations for drapes or wallpaper recommendations for the guest bathroom?
What are some of your 2011 goals?

Happy New Year, Meg! I love the fabric you've pictured. My big goal for 2011 is to whip my office in shape--2+ years of disarray has got to stop. Best of luck crossing items off your list, they seem like fun goals!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year! Good luck checking all of these goals off your list. We are amidst a similar paint-and-backsplach (and floor and counter) kitchen refresh, and it's tough work... I'll be eager to read about your project once you get it going.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! Unfortunately, I'm also on a fabric hunt for some new curtains. If I come across any good sites to order from, I'll let you know! Happy 2011.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite excited to see what you pick out for wallpaper, there are so many good ones out there. Alas, Boozie Susie and her 'painting the wallpaper to trick us' fiasco have permanently soured me on ever using the stuff. That is 9 months of wallpaper removal time that I will never get back! HAHA
ReplyDeleteYou had some great room makeovers last year! I'm especially excited to see your finished drapes for the living room. I, too, plan on making my own drapes now that we finally got real blinds. But I have no idea what kind of fabric I'll use. So many choices out there!
ReplyDeleteohmygosh OB-SESSED! How have I not come across your blog before? Love the before and afters and the inspiration! so pretty =)

I love the fabric!
ReplyDeleteMy goals is to just keep my head above the water...but I would secretly love to get my house done, but is it ever really done? :)
I made drapes for my family room out of that fabric. I love it! I can send you a pic if you would like.
