A few months ago, I hit a wall with our home. I still had PLENTY to decorate and change (our house is pretty much an infant decor-wise), but was suffering from a deflated drive. After a short hiatus from the decorating world and Home Depot, I have recently felt the design bug bite again. I'm back in the game and ready to get going.
Since my new spark, I've had a few ideas buzzing in my mind and have been playing around with mood boards to organize my thoughts. Though my big 2011 goals are for the kitchen, guest bath and living room, I couldn't help but think about other areas of the house.
Like a redesigned master bedroom:

And a master bath with just a little bit more shine:

Which leads me to my most recent home update. While the above moodboard for my master bath is not completely where we're headed (more like wishful thinking), Lee and I did make a few recent updates to improve the space.
Stay tuned for a painted cabinet reveal and a little glitz I found at HomeGoods for some glam appeal.

Your mood boards look great, Meg. I can't wait to see how it all turns out!
ReplyDeleteoh wow! Love them both!!!! I have been looking for a cute ottoman like that forever! Where is that one from? Homegoods?

Your bedroom design board is to die for, and of course your bathroom is just as lovely!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I cannot believe I'm saying this, after the horror that was last winter, but I am insanely jealous of your snowpocalypse. I want a snow day!
Love both ideas :) Can't wait to see what you've got going on!
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to snow a little here, too. I love the snow so much.
ReplyDeleteLove your mood board, the decor is absolutely beautiful! Is that wallpaper you're going to put up in your bathroom? Where are your pieces from?

ReplyDeleteThe master bath pic didn't load for some reason but I adore the bedroom! Especially the tufted headboard and ottoman...crushing on tufted things at the moment!

Glad you caught the decorating bug again! I love your color palettes and textures - so calming and sophisticated. Can't wait to see your updates in the master bath!
ReplyDeleteP.S. We are definitely not snugly and warm here in KS. It's snowing and the temp tonight is supposed to be sub-zero! Ugh.
Love the mood boards and can't wait to see what you did in the bathroom. BTW - Young House Love featured that EXACT same mirror in a post today. They hung it above their bathroom sink (over a window!). Check it out!
ReplyDeleteHey there Meg! Remember me? I've been on hiatus for WAY TOO LONG. Was getting my photography business started up. Good to visit your blog and catch up on all your progress with your house. I love your mood boards. I've got the "bug" too; my house has been WAY neglected in the last 6 months! Keep inspiring us; I love the way you put things together!
ReplyDeleteSquee! Glad to hear you're coming back. Oh how I've missed your dishy ideas and goodwill huntings. I'm excited to see what you have in stored next!
